Service description for the Larches Trust has been amended to: "The Larches Trust is a registered charity which aims to encourage and support the diverse abilities, needs, wants and dreams of adults with learning disabilities within an environment of unconditional positive acceptance, so that they may lead the full and creative lives that are generally off limits to them in the wider society. The Larches Trusts offers a Day Opportunities Programme of classes aimed toward increasing learners' self-development and independence. If learners want to learn a subject that the Trust is not offering, it will try its best to develop a new course to offer it. Currently the classes include: Tai Chi, Basic Computer skills and Art and Craft. The Larches is also proud to offer a unique holiday project called 'Arts in Action' which uses the creative arts to build inclusive communities, encourage friendship between people in the community and people with learning disabilities, increase confidence and improve skills and artistic talents, both for people with learning disabilities and volunteers. Most of all it encourages everyone to have fun together. The 'Arts in Action' Project is held three times a year during the easter, summer and winter holidays in an aim to combat loneliness, isolation and in many instances deprivation of young people with learning disabilities which can be especially evident during the holiday periods."
